Yoga

Yoga is a form of exercise that uses slow movements and stretching allowing for increasing flexibility and body balance.

Benefits of Yoga include relief of stress and relaxing, as it has been utilized as a meditation technique for thousands of years. Meditation, or consciousness, during yoga allows the student to become more intune with personal posture and alignment while allowing you to individually stretch and engage targeted muscle groups.  We offer classes that accommodate all fitness and experience levels. Yoga is a great start for beginners because of the slow pace, but it still offers a caloric burn, total body strength and flexibility for anyone looking to improve their personal fitness.

Pilates

The goal of Pilates is overall body fitness, elongated supple muscles, and balance between body and mind, with all the parts of a person working as a whole. Usually with a focus on the core muscles, and utilizing light weights, bands and “Power Rings,” Pilates will provide a strength training workout at a slower pace so it is suitable and challenging for everyone. For the next step in Pilates, Energy Fitness also offers private sessions on our Pilates Reformer equipment, which utilizes spring resistance and a simple pulley system to provide a fluid, unrestricted, low impact total body workout.
